Traditionally World Cyber Games has decided their game titles by a public vote on its website, and it's now time for that voting to take place for the 2012 event. The voting includes seven different genres such as Casual, Fighting, Sports, and of course FPS. Counter-Strike 1.6 is included in the voting as the only game from the Counter-Strike franchise, meaning CS:S and CS:GO will not be featured at WCG 2012. In other genres, DotA2 is already listed as a possibility despite of still being in a closed beta phase like CS:GO, so it seems very possible that CS 1.6 will live to see another year at World Cyber Games. World Cyber Games will take place in Kunshan, China for the next two events. China has always been a very popular location for CS 1.6, so the move makes sense rather than fully focusing on the upcoming CS:GO, should CS 1.6 win the vote in the first place. If you wish to see Counter-Strike 1.6 at World Cyber Games 2012, please visit the World Cyber Games website and cast your votes for your favorite games.
Will WCG 2012 feature CS 1.6 once again? It's up to you!
